The Grand Tour is described as a six-day MTB itinerary through forests, pastures and alpine lakes, between Monte Corno Nature Park in the west and Paneveggio–Pale di San Martino Nature Park in the east.

It covers eastern Trentino between Val di Fiemme, Val di Fassa, Primiero and Valsugana. The latter includes the bathing lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo, with mountain views.

The route explores terrain above 2,000 m, among the Lagorai range and the Dolomites of Latemar, Catinaccio, Sella and Pale di San Martino, within the wider UNESCO Dolomites setting.

The original description proposes riding in either direction over roughly six months of the year, subject to conditions. It gives 320 km clockwise and 353 km anticlockwise, with ascent totals ranging from 8,790 m to 10,470 m. These are historical route-description figures, separate from estimates calculated for this GPX.

Summer lifts were described as a way to reduce the amount of pedalling uphill, with a typical mid-June to mid-September season. Verify current operating dates, access and bike-carriage arrangements.
