Description:

The White Rim Trail, located in the heart of Canyonlands National Park, is truly a special place.
The namesake White Rim sandstone, laid down by wind and water some 280 million years ago, lies 1,200 feet below the towering cliffs of the Island in the Sky plateau.
The trail contours along this hard layer of sediment with views of the magnificent canyons 1,000 feet below carved out by the Colorado River to the east and the Green River to the west. The views from this rim expand with every turn of the trail and offer an ever-broadening perspective of the surrounding canyon country.

Monutain bike Tour in the Canyonland Utah

There is more to the White Rim Trail than the spectacular canyons. The desert flora comes alive in the spring with vibrant bits of color along the trail. In the fall the trees resound with autumn's golden hues. The trail leads to a fantastic array of spires, arches and other outstanding geologic features. Look closely and you may glimpse the elusive Desert Bighorn. Mountain biking is a great way to experience the diverse beauty of Canyonlands National Park.
