SmartComGps  installation

1. Download the software from the author site [SmartComGps ]
2. Follow the installation procedure connecting the phone to a personal computer
3. In the phone main menu you can find now a new icon
4. SmartComGps is in trial version, after 15 days you must buy a license

  Use left soft key for entry the options menu.

In the image we have an Italian Smartcomgps version, in the English version you will see:

Here is the gps submenu, in this section you can set the gps device functions.

Maps menu for view the maps you have previously uploaded on the phone, you can create a map using, for example, CompeGpsLand (view bottom article).

The waypoint menu, remember that a waypoint is an  exact point with desctiption, for example "country house Ferraguzzo".

 How to create a SmartComGps map with CompeGpsLand

Here a example fo a  CompeGpsLand map for SmartComGps :

1. using CompeLand, open a map
2. actvate the selection mode
3. right mouse, new map for the area (or something like that!)
4. automaticaly save in JPG format  and map format  (use ozi .map)
5. you have now a jpg and a map file
6. use ogf2tool.exe and convert in  ogf2
7.  edit  the map file, open it with a text editor
8. in the first line substitute  jpg with ogf2
9. put the file  (.map  .ogf2)  in the smartphone folder  E:\Documents\SmartComGps\map

1. tracks files are in  E:\documents\SmartComGps\tracks
2.  waypoints files are in    E:\documents\SmartComGps\waypoints.
